Snyggt jobbat Calle!

PS: Fundering.

Först anmäld först in.

Hello from Germany,
since I am member of the Lambretta Club Germany I was really looking forward to the Eurolambretta in Sweden.
But very enthusiastic preparations like booking ferries, taking vacation in office and organising a flight for my wife to Malmoe or seem to be in vain now. Unfortunately.
The swedish club has limited the number of german participants to 30 (!). When I first heard about it I thought about a joke. This number get's kind of absurd when you know that there's much more than 50 people willing to go...
The problem for us (members of LCD) is that we don't understand this limit. Also regarding the fact that Sweden's limited to 120 (!) Lambrettisti. Another interesting fact is that there are places designattd for countries that don't have a national club like Denmark or Norway.
In German Scooter Forum there is a very interesting discussion going on about that 'regulation'.
What do you swedish guys think about that?

I used to be a member of the Swedish Indian motorcycle club and as such I visited a number of international Indian MC meets, in Belgium, France, Finland, Sweden and Austria. I was always welcome even as I usually arrived on my Vespa…. It was never a question of limitation of guests, as it always was located so you could camp at the meeting site.serveta-atevres wrote:Hello from Germany,

I am sure that it is possible to find a nearby camping site for you who want to attend the meeting, and I am sure that the local Lambretta Club are more than pleased to help you.

This is exactly what I mean. It was never limited... But the Swedish organisation won't let more than 30 Germans in.
If I would go now to the Eurolambretta and I would not be part of the 30, ...it would be like watching the christmas tree from outside... For me the attitude of the Swedish Club it is very dissapoiting.

First of all I would like to say that I am not involved in arranging the Euro. I just handle the Scandinavian applications. This is not an official statement but just my personal view.
For several reasons the venue has a maximum limit of 600 persons. It was actually 506 but they managed to stretch this a little bit more. If it was possible, we would be delighted to have 1500 people attending Euro Lambretta but with only a few months left it will be impossible to sort this out. I hope everyone can understand this.
The quotes that were given to each nation were based on attendance on previous Euro Jamborees. Germany for instance were represented by 39 persons (if I’m not mistaken) last year, when you arranged it yourself. It was a bit hard to imagine you would be more people going to Sweden then on your own run.
Concerning the maximum limit of 600 very few Euro Lambretta rallies have had that many guests. I am overwhelmed by the huge response and can only say that it is sad that we can’t spare a place for everyone. We can only hope that there are other nations that don’t fill there quote so that everyone that wants can come.
Best Regards,
David

I can´t find words how nice it is, to get a little bit of reaction from your Club, even if it is necessary to register and find your " plattform ".
And I`m more pleased that we think the same and your MISTAKE is that simple to rethink !
The 39 people from germany last year ( your quote ) were paying guests ! As did all the other extra members, friends , girlfriends, president, dog , cat and everybody that helped !!!!!!!
But we didn´t block tickets for the people we were looking, for to represent us, as good hosts - THE GUESTS !
If the arrangement of your ticket-policy is that ( and please don´t get me wrong I mean it very polite ) "simple " , please get in contact.
So in the end . it´s just a little problem of " Unerfahrenheit "
I will do my best to recreate a positve feeling in the german-speaking contingent to have a cracking party in sweden ! I hope you get your stuff sorted out soon , as members are more than dissapointedand and want to plan their holiday.
And just as a personal note , people planing an internatioal event, with your background, doing such a mistake , is a thing I can´t understand !
So please, let us make the most important place, to meet real scooterists in the world ( because the IOW sees Vespistis......) a place of happiness and friendship !
A few nations tried to kill the spirit of the jamboree, doing a crap organisation - please don´t do it to " Bo-country "
MfG Markus Gruschke
Willing but.......
