The only thing they found was at the front wheel. A remark that "styrlager är skadat"... is that something that I should worry about and try to fix?

Yes. Right now. Do not fool around with the steering column bearings.

If one seizes during driving you won't be able to steer, especially in a curve. Then you will crash. And it will hurt.
